As I reviewed the week five final research assignment, I have chosen three from social concern that caught my eye including obesity, underage drinking, and smoking. Choosing these topics have me wondering which subject has the biggest effect on society and I would like to know all three that I am searching because I have young adults in this bracket. Additional to research these topics determine which one holds the most credible sources when it comes to asking questions and setting out facts on these social concerns.
The topic obesity caught my eye because it is all over the globe. I too have battled obesity in my life time. This is a touching concern when it comes to kids or household. Since obesity is a very sensitive issue because so many people have had complication and died from obesity. This author discusses why adult obesity has increased in 2013 and explores the individualization of care in obesity, drawing attention. This source provides credible and true on this certain social concern.
The second topic is underage drinking in which that is a major concern in the globe today. This article mention that underage drinking takes effect on the youth is a health journal about underage drinking in college students. Additional why certain underage college students consume alcohol in excess. Participants attach positive expectancies to alcohol use, including peer influence, support and reduction of social anxiety (Dodd, Glassman, Arthur, Webb, & Miller, 2010). I found this source very credible and reliable in this certain social concern.
